HaverHub is based in the old Post Office on Quay Street, which we’ve lovingly renovated. We also have two warehouses in the courtyard: one is used as a bar and social space, the other is our main event space
We’re also working on restoring a third building by the Quayside, which is currently out of use. Once it’s safe and ready, we hope it’ll become another space for the local community to enjoy. We’ll be sharing plans soon and asking for your ideas!
We welcome all sorts of bookings, up to seven days and evenings a week – whether you’re a group, organisation, promoter, or just someone planning a social or work event.
Type of Hire - What You Need To Know
At HaverHub, we offer two main types of hire: simple room bookings and full event hire.
Room bookings are ideal if you’re an individual or group just looking for a space to meet, run a class, or hold a small gathering. You’ll pay a flat fee for the room, and that’s it – we don’t get involved in what goes on during your session, and we don’t promote these kinds of bookings. Think of it as simply hiring a space that suits your needs.
Event hire is a bit different. These are usually larger, often ticketed events where you might need things like bar staff, sound technicians, or extra security. Because each event is unique, we don’t have a standard room rate – instead, we’ll give you a tailored quote based on what you’re planning.

Our Spaces
Depot
Once home to 65 Royal Mail vans, this spacious former depot is now a striking red-brick venue. Hugely popular with local musicians and the wider community, it’s best known for our lively weekly open mic nights.
Whether you need a formal seated arrangement or a theatre-style layout, we can comfortably accommodate up to 350 guests.
The Depot is perfect for performances, markets, public meetings, workshops, celebrations – you name it. The venue is directly connected to the main bar and courtyard, providing an inviting outdoor breakout area. For evening or late-night events, access is available via the yard gates even when the main building is closed.
We offer a range of AV equipment and services. If you need a PA system, sound engineer, or technical support, just speak to our office team.
Hire fees vary, so please get in touch with our Venue Manager to discuss your plans – we’d love to help bring your event to life.
Corner Room
This light-filled private room is ideal for smaller gatherings. It comfortably seats up to 25 people in a theatre-style layout, or for meetings and training sessions. We can arrange tables and chairs to suit your needs, or you can hire the space as an empty, carpeted room – perfect for flexible use.
The windows are fitted with blinds, ensuring presentations and screens are clearly visible at all times. Our AV setup supports hybrid meetings and offers enhanced functionality.
Sorting Office
Once the county sorting office, where mail as well as all the takings from Oakwood were brought and sorted, this lovely room has skylights and a large roof lantern, flooding the space with natural light. Excellent for markets and creative activities. We have installed blinds to cut down the light for use of projectors, presentations and other AV equipment, and a range of lights can create whatever mood your event requires.
This large airy space can seat 200 people in rows, has a small stage option, or with tables and chairs for markets, trade shows and public engagement sessions, public meetings, training, banquets and celebrations. It is usually kept empty for the wide range of well-being classes regularly run with the wooden hall floor and underfloor heating, such as Yoga, gong baths, Pilates, Ballet, or a range of choirs.
Courtyard
Our much-loved Yard offers a safe and private outdoor area, enclosed by high walls beautifully painted with scenes of Pembrokeshire wildlife by local artist Lloyd the Graffiti. Recent additions – including an otter, trout, and cormorant – celebrate our close connection to the River Cleddau, which we’re excited to make more accessible to visitors as part of our upcoming renovations.
In the summer, the Yard comes alive with live music and DJs, performing from our small raised stage beneath a glass canopy. The space is fitted with basic power points and atmospheric festoon lighting, making it perfect for laid-back outdoor events.
We can set out a mix of picnic benches, with seating for up to 150 people – ideal for social gatherings, informal celebrations, or open-air performances.
Bar
Our quirky bar has repurposed the long oak-fronted former post office counter, giving it a totally new purpose, and position, to the rear of the site in what was the post van repair warehouse!
The bar connects directly to our Depot Event Space, making it the perfect hub for larger events.
The bar can be hired alongside the Depot or used as a unique venue in its own right. With space for around 60 guests, it’s ideal for smaller gatherings, pop-up events – we’ve even hosted Welsh lessons here!
Hot Desks
Quiet working space just upstairs from the café/reception area is available either on the day (subject to spaces) or booking ahead. £10 a day makes this a very affordable way to work in the county town, benefitting from the friendly café below and fast internet. Ask at reception when you arrive. Available during main reception opening hours 10 – 5 though we can be flexible by prior arrangement.
