Join us for a fascinating talk as Salena Walker, Wild Welsh Herbalist, returns to HaverHub. With over 20 years of teaching experience, a lifelong connection to herbs through family and Welsh cultural traditions, and more than a decade in clinical practice, Salena brings the plants of Cymru to life through story, medicine, and tradition.

In this seasonal talk, Salena will explore the wild Welsh herbs of early summer, sharing how these plants have been gathered and used as food and medicine across generations. Discover the herbs growing in the hedgerows, meadows and woodland edges of Wales at this time of year, and learn how you can begin using them yourself as simple herbal medicines at home.

During the talk there will also be an opportunity to try a non alcoholic herbal shot, offering a chance to experience the plants through organoleptic tasting and tune into their flavour, energy and medicinal qualities.

Along the way Salena will weave in Welsh folklore, seasonal traditions and the stories of the plants, revealing how herbal knowledge, landscape and culture have always been deeply connected in Wales.
