HaverChatter: Zac Mitchell – Post-Growth Economy

We are excited to launch the HaverChatter series with a talk by Zac Mitchell from Molygrove, who will be exploring the concept of “Riding the Post-Growth Wave”, followed by a Q&A session.

Zac is an experienced environmental consultant. In his talk, he will challenge the common belief that economic growth is always beneficial, arguing that it may not always serve the best interests of society or the environment. Zac will introduce sustainable economic models that prioritise well-being, balance, and ecological sustainability, offering an alternative vision for the future.

This is a fantastic opportunity to hear Zac’s insights before he heads to Bristol to begin his PhD in environmental economics. His expertise and passion for sustainability promise to make this a thought-provoking and engaging talk.

Tickets are available online and at the door for £5, and the event is open to all ages.

We invite you to join us and be part of this important conversation!

What is HaverChatter?

HaverChatter is our exciting new monthly talk series, designed to bring together a range of thinkers, experts, and local voices to share their ideas and insights with the community. Each month, hosted at Haverhub, we’ll explore a different thought-provoking topic. The aim is to spark meaningful conversations and inspire new ways of thinking, whether it’s about environmental issues, social change, technology, or entrepreneurship.

Our goal is to create a space where ideas can be freely exchanged and where people of all ages can come together to learn and engage with the important issues shaping our world today. Whether you want to expand your knowledge, challenge your thinking, or simply connect with others, HaverChatter is for you.
