Prepare for an evening of deeply rooted Welsh culture and captivating song as Cynefin, the project of Owen Shiers, brings his celebrated sound to Haverfordwest.

Described as a “stunning new talent” by The Guardian, Cynefin’s music is an eloquent exploration of his native Ceredigion, offering a “musical mapping project” that breathes new life into forgotten songs, stories, and poems. The band’s name, Cynefin, is a profound Welsh word for a sense of belonging or a familiar habitat, a concept that is at the very heart of their work. With arrangements that weave together traditional folk with hints of jazz and strings, their sound is both timeless and contemporary—a “quietly political antidote to the modern age.”

This special performance, with support from Esme Darling, provides the perfect start to a sleepy Spring transition!
