We’re delighted to welcome Nessie’s Food and Catering as the new heart of the HaverHub café experience.

Owned and run by local couple Clare and Rhys James, Nessie’s opened its doors at HaverHub in early January 2026 and has quickly become a favourite spot for staff, visitors and the Haverfordwest community alike. What started as a popular catering van serving holiday parks and local events has grown into a full-time café right here on Quay Street, a long-cherished dream for the team at Nessie’s.

The name “Nessie’s” is a lovely tribute to Clare’s mum, Vanessa, a much-loved local nurse, and reflects the family-oriented spirit that runs through everything the café does. Rhys brings 16 years of chef experience, while Clare’s passion for baking – honed through making treats for her own family – means there’s always something delicious waiting to be enjoyed.

At Nessie’s you’ll find a menu of comforting, homemade favourites cooked with care and local ingredients. Expect all-day breakfasts and breakfast rolls, hearty homemade soups, ciabatta sandwiches and loaded fries, alongside freshly baked cakes and scones – both sweet and savoury. Wherever possible, ingredients are sourced from Pembrokeshire suppliers, including Prendergast Butcher, Crwst Bakery and Simpson’s Deli.

The café is open Monday to Saturday, 9:30am–4:00pm, and also caters for HaverHub’s fortnightly Wednesday Open Mic nights. Looking ahead, Clare and Rhys are planning menu updates and even special fine-dining evenings with wine and canapés.
